Sometimes people worry that they may not be able to feel the energy or that it “won’t work” for them, but I’ve never found this to be a problem — Reiki is a practice that’s accessible to everyone.

You’ll be guided through the entire journey step by step, and don’t need any background experience in Reiki or other healing practices to join.

Level 1 focuses on opening your connection to Reiki and experiencing how the energy feels. You’ll learn the key principles, how to develop a self-practice, and how to offer Reiki to friends and family.

Level 2 builds on these foundations — deepening your connection and introducing new techniques, including symbols, mantras, intuitive practices, chakra balancing, and distance Reiki. These advanced teachings enrich your self-practice, help you offer more impactful treatments for others, and support you in stepping into professional practice if this path calls you.

Many students find that taking Level 1 & 2 together creates a deeper, more integrated experience.

Over six days, you have the chance to fully immerse yourself in the practice, which helps foster:

• A stronger connection with Reiki.

• A clearer understanding of the system.

• A deeper and more cohesive personal healing journey.

• Momentum that supports your continued practice after the training ends.

These six-day immersions are flexible — if you’d prefer to take each level as a separate three-day training to allow more time to integrate and practise in between, that’s also possible.

Trainings are kept intentionally small — usually 4–8 students, with a maximum of 10.

This allows plenty of time for questions, hands-on practice, meaningful group discussions, and a warm sense of community.

I teach Usui Reiki, and my lineage traces directly back to Mikao Usui, the founder of the traditional system of Reiki.

The teachings I share are rooted in the traditional Japanese lineage of Usui Reiki Ryōhō, while also incorporating a few modern elements — such as working with the chakra system — to help bridge traditional practice with contemporary understanding.

An attunement is a sacred initiation ritual, guided by a Reiki Master.

We’re all born with a natural connection to Reiki, but for many of us, that connection becomes clouded over time — and in some cases, almost completely lost.

An attunement helps to clear energetic blockages, reconnecting you with Reiki and the truth of who you are.

It expands your capacity to feel and work with energy in a tangible way, supporting healing for both yourself and others.

Each level of training includes one attunement — laying the energetic foundation for each stage of your Reiki journey.

You will receive Usui Reiki Level 1 & 2 certificates upon completion of the training.

Level 1 gives you the skills needed to offer Reiki to friends and family, while Level 2 is required if you wish to practise Reiki professionally.

These certifications are recognised internationally within the wider Reiki community and meet the requirements of most Reiki membership associations and insurance providers.

Many professional bodies currently require at least one in-person attunement plus a set number of contact hours for practitioner membership.

This six-day immersion includes:

• In-person attunements for each level.

• 15.5 contact hours for Level 1.

• 18 contact hours for Level 2.

• Lineage documentation tracing back to Usui.

This meets the standards necessary for professional recognition in most countries.

If you intend to practise Reiki professionally, I recommend checking the specific requirements in your home country.

As Reiki is an unregulated industry, there are no set standards for training, which means the quality of your experience depends entirely on the integrity of the Reiki Master guiding you.

Some trainings are only one day, while others — like mine — are longer.

Although one-day courses may seem like a convenient option, they can sometimes leave people feeling:

• Unclear about what they’ve learned.

• Unsure how to continue practising.

• Or disconnected from the energy itself.

I’ve re-taught several students who came to me after taking shorter trainings elsewhere, because they still didn’t feel confident or clear in their practice.

A Reiki training isn’t just about learning a modality — it’s also a deep process of personal healing that needs time to flourish.

After many years of teaching, I’ve found that six days (three per level) for Level 1 & 2 immersions really hits the sweet spot.

This extra time allows for more hands-on practice, space for questions and personalised guidance, helping you leave the training feeling confident and connected to your practice.
