I teach Usui Reiki, with a lineage tracing back to Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. My trainings are grounded in traditional Usui Reiki Ryōhō with a modern, practical approach that helps make the teachings accessible and relevant to everyday life.

Sometimes people worry that they may not be able to feel the energy, or that Reiki may not work for them — especially in an online setting — but I’ve never found this to be a problem. Reiki is a practice that’s accessible to everyone. You’ll be guided through the entire journey step-by-step. You don’t need any previous experience in Reiki or other healing practices to join.

You will receive an Usui Reiki Level 1 certificate upon completion of the training. Level 1 gives you the skills needed to practise Reiki on yourself, friends, and family, while Level 2 is generally required if you wish to work professionally as a Reiki practitioner. Online Reiki training is now widely taught and accepted within the international Reiki community. However, requirements can vary between different Reiki associations, professional bodies, and insurance providers — particularly within the UK — so it’s always best to check directly with the organisation you plan to register with if professional recognition is important to you.

An attunement is a sacred initiation ritual, guided by a Reiki Master. We’re all born with a natural connection to Reiki, but for many of us, that connection becomes clouded over time — and in some cases, almost completely lost. An attunement helps to clear energetic blockages, reconnecting you with Reiki and the truth of who you are. It expands your capacity to feel and work with energy in a tangible way, supporting healing for both yourself and others. Each level of training includes one attunement — laying the energetic foundation for each stage of your Reiki journey.

Yes — in my experience, online attunements can be just as impactful as those received in-person. Reiki is not limited by physical distance, which is why distance healing is also taught and practiced within the system of Reiki. I’ve both given and received attunements online many times over the years, and have consistently found them to be deeply felt and effective experiences. While the overall experience of online and in-person trainings is naturally different, the energetic connection and depth of the attunement itself is not diminished by the online format.

The core teachings, guided self-practices, and attunements translate very naturally into an online format, and many people enjoy learning from the comfort of their own home. All classes are taught live via Zoom in a small, interactive group, so you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive personalised support throughout the training. The main difference is that practising Reiki treatments on others takes place outside of the live classes, and you’ll be asked to practise on a friend or family member in your own time. You’ll receive full guidance during the training, plus follow-along video resources to support your practice treatments at home. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and receive support via email between classes and after the training. You'll have access to recordings of each live class, however these trainings are designed to be interactive experiences, and attendance at the live classes is strongly encouraged. Attunements, guided-self practices, and real-time discussions form an important part of the training process and cannot always be fully replicated through replays alone. Trainings are held in small groups of around 4–8 students. This allows plenty of time for questions and individual support. Private one-to-one trainings are also available on request.

As Reiki is an unregulated industry, online training formats can vary greatly from teacher to teacher. Some trainings are fully self-paced and pre-recorded, while others are taught live online across anything from a single day, to multiple weeks or months. These Level 1 trainings include four classes, taught live via Zoom over two weekends. Spacing the training across multiple live sessions allows time for the teachings and attunements to settle more deeply, while giving you the opportunity to practise between classes and return the following weekend with new questions and insights. After many years of teaching, I’ve found this structure creates a balanced and supportive learning experience that leaves people feeling clear, connected, and confident in their Reiki practice.
