Three-day Reiki Level 1 training in Rushmoor, Farnham, Surrey

I teach Usui Reiki, with a lineage tracing back to Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. My trainings are grounded in traditional Usui Reiki Ryōhō with a modern, practical approach that helps make the teachings accessible and relevant to everyday life.

An attunement is a sacred initiation ritual, guided by a Reiki Master. We’re all born with a natural connection to Reiki, but for many of us, that connection becomes clouded over time — and in some cases, almost completely lost. An attunement helps to clear energetic blockages, reconnecting you with Reiki and the truth of who you are. It expands your capacity to feel and work with energy in a tangible way, supporting healing for both yourself and others. Each level of training includes one attunement — laying the energetic foundation for each stage of your Reiki journey.

Sometimes people worry that they may not be able to feel the energy or that it “won’t work” for them, but I’ve never found this to be a problem — Reiki is a practice that’s accessible to everyone. You’ll be guided through the entire journey step by step, and don’t need any background experience in Reiki or other healing practices to join.

You will receive an Usui Reiki Level 1 certificate upon completion of the training. Level 1 gives you the skills needed to offer Reiki to friends and family, while Level 2 is required if you wish to practise Reiki professionally. These certifications are recognised internationally within the wider Reiki community and meet the requirements of most Reiki membership associations and insurance providers.

Trainings are held in small groups, with a maximum of four students. This allows plenty of time for questions, hands-on practice, and individual support. Private one-to-one trainings are also available on request.

As Reiki is an unregulated industry, training formats can vary greatly from teacher to teacher. Some Reiki Level 1 trainings are completed in a single day, while others — like mine — are spread across three days. While shorter trainings may suit some people, they can sometimes feel rushed, leaving little time for practice, reflection, or personalised support. Spacing the training across three days allows time for the teachings and attunements to settle more deeply, creating space for plenty of hands-on practice and questions along the way. After many years of teaching, I’ve found this structure offers a balanced and supportive introduction to Reiki, leaving people feeling clear, connected, and confident in their practice.
